IGCSE (GCE O Level) နှင့် GCE A Level ဟူ၍ရှိရာ မြန်မာ လက်ရှိ စနစ်သစ် ၉-တန်းနှင့် စနစ်ဟောင်း ၁၀-တန်း (Grade 10 / 11) နှင့် ၈-တန်းအောင်မြင်ပြီးသူများသာမက ၁၀-တန်းအောင်ပြီးထားသူ (နိုင်ငံခြားကျောင်းများသို့ ပညာဆက်လက်သင်ယူလိုသူများ စသည်) ကျောင်းသားများအတွက် IGCSE (GCE O Level) ကို သင်ကြား ဖြေဆိုနိုင်ပါသည်။ ဖြေဆိုအောင်မြင်ပြီးသူများအတွက် ဘဝရည်မှန်းချက် ခရီးဆက်ရန် နည်းလမ်း ၂-သွယ်ရှိပါသည်။

နည်းလမ်း (၁) - ၎င်း IGCSE ကို ဖြေဆိုအောင်မြင်ပြီးသော ကျောင်းသားများသည် နိုင်ငံရပ်ခြားကောလိပ်များနှင့် စင်ကာပူနိုင်ငံမှာရှိ​သော ပိုလီကျောင်း Polytechnics (စက်မှုလက်မှုကျောင်း) များကို ဆက်လက်တက်ရောက်နိုင်ခွင့်များ ရရှိနိုင်ပါသည်။ ထိုကျောင်းများမှ တဖန် ထူးချွန်စွာအောင်မြင်ခဲ့ပါကလည်း နိုင်ငံခြားတက္ကသိုလ်များကို ဆက်လက်တက်ရောက်နိုင်ခွင့်များ ရရှိနိုင်ပါသေးသည်။

နည်းလမ်း (၂) - ၎င်း IGCSE ကို ဖြေဆိုအောင်မြင်ပြီး၍ နိုင်ငံခြားတက္ကသိုလ်များကို တိုက်ရိုက် တက်ရောက်ရန်အတွက်ကတော့ GCE A Level ကို ဆက်လက် သင်ကြား ဖြေဆို အောင်မြင်ကြရမှာ ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ တက္ကသိုလ်ဝင်တန်းဖြစ်သည့် GCE A Level ကို အောင်မြင်ပြီးမှသာလျှင် နိုင်ငံခြား တက္ကသိုလ်များသို့ တိုက်ရိုက်ဝင်ရောက် ဆက်လက် ပညာသင်ကြားနိုင်ခွင့်များ ရရှိနိုင်ကြမှာ ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

အထက်ကဆိုခဲ့ပြီးသော နိုင်ငံတကာကျောင်းသားများအတွက်ရည်စူးထားတဲ့ International General Certificate of Secondary Education ဟုခေါ်သည့် IGCSE ကိုပဲ Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) အဖွဲ့က IGCSE ဟူ၍ တိုက်ရိုက်အမည်သတ်မှတ်ခေါ်ဆိုကာ IGCSE သင်တန်းများနှင့် စာမေးပွဲများကို ကမ္ဘာတစ်ဝှမ်း ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်ပေးနေခဲ့ကြတာပဲ ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ၎င်း Cambridge IGCSE ကိုပင် CIE မှ စစ်ဆေးသော စာမေးပွဲဖြစ်၍ CIE ဟူ၍လည်း ခေါ်ဆိုတတ်ကြပါသည်။

မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင်မူ ၎င်း Cambridge IGCSE / CIE ကို British Council မှ နှစ်စဉ် တာဝန်ယူစစ်ဆေးပေးလေ့ရှိကာ ၎င်းစာမေးပွဲအား အပြင်ဖြေကျောင်းသားများသည်လည်း ဘာသာရပ်များကို မိမိစိတ်ကြိုက် အပြင်ကျောင်း/ကျူရှင် စသည်များမှတဆင့် IGCSE ဘာသာရပ်များကို လေ့လာသင်ယူကြ၍ Private Candidate များအဖြစ် စာမေးပွဲကြေးပေးသွင်းကာ လွတ်လပ်စွာ ဝင်ရောက်ဖြေဆိုခွင့် ရှိခဲ့ကြပါသည်။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ မည်သည့်ဆရာ မည်သည့်ကျောင်း/ကျူရှင်များမဆို IGCSE သင်တန်းများကို ဖွင့်လှစ် သင်ကြားခွင့်များ ရရှိခဲ့ကြပါသည်။ (မှတ်ချက် - သို့ရာတွင် ယခုလက်ရှိအချိန်အထိမူ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင် ၎င်း CIE စာမေးပွဲဆိုင်ရာများကို ဆက်လက် ပြုလုပ်မည်/မပြုလုပ်မည် ကို မည်သူမျှ အတိအကျ မသိကြသေးပါသဖြင့် အပြင်ဖြေကျောင်းသား (Private Candidate) များအတွက် စာမေးပွဲ ဝင်ရောက် ဖြေဆိုနိုင်ခွင့်သည် မရေရာ မသေချာသည့် အခြေအနေသို့ ဖြစ်ရှိနေပါ၍ ထိုအချက်ကို ကျောင်းသားများနှင့် မိဘများ အထူးသတိပြု​စေလိုပါသည်။)

အထက်ကဆိုခဲ့ပြီးသော နိုင်ငံတကာကျောင်းသားများအတွက်ရည်စူးထားတဲ့ International General Certificate of Secondary Education ဆိုတဲ့ IGCSE ကိုပင်လျှင် Pearson Edexcel မှ International GCSE ဟူ၍ အမည်သတ်မှတ်ခေါ်ဆိုကာ IGCSE သင်တန်းများနှင့် စာမေးပွဲများကို ကမ္ဘာတစ်ဝှမ်း ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်ပေးနေပါသည်။ ထို Edexcel ၏ International GCSE ကိုပင် IG ဟူ၍လည်း ခေါ်ဆိုကြပါသည်။

Edexcel IGCSE (သို့) International GCSE (သို့) IG သင်တန်းများနှင့် စာမေးပွဲများကိုမူ ကမ္ဘာတစ်ဝှမ်းရှိ Pearson Edexcel ၏ တရားဝင်အသိအမှတ်ပြုထားရှိခံရသည့်ကျောင်း/ပညာရေးစင်တာ Approved Centre များမှလည်း ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်ပေးနိုင်ပါသည်။ ထို့ကြောင့် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင်လည်း IG သင်တန်းများနှင့် စာမေးပွဲများကို မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရှိ Pearson Edexcel ၏ တရားဝင်အသိအမှတ်ပြုထားရှိခံရသည့် ကျောင်းဌာန Approved Centre များမှာပင် နှစ်စဉ် စီစဥ်ကျင်းပပေးလျက်ရှိနေကြပါသည်။

Approved Centre များတွင် စစ်ဆေးမည့် IG စာမေးပွဲများကို ဝင်ရောက်ဖြေဆိုခွင့်ရရှိရန်အတွက်မူ --- အသိအမှတ်ပြုခံထားရသည့် ၎င်း Approved Centre ကျောင်း (၎င်းကျောင်း၏ Subsidiary of Approved Centre ကျောင်းခွဲ) များတွင် IG သင်တန်း တက်ရောက်သင်ကြားကြ၍ လစဉ်ကျင်းပသော (Mock Test) စာမေးပွဲလေးများကို ဝင်ရောက်ဖြေဆိုလေ့ကျင့်ထားကြလျှင်ပို၍ အကျိုးရှိ​ကောင်းမွန်ပါသည်။

ထိုကျောင်းသား များသည် Approved Centre မှ စာရင်းသွင်းစစ်ဆေးမည့် IG စာမေးပွဲများကို ဝင်ရောက်ဖြေဆိုကာ ရမှတ်​ကောင်း ရလဒ်ကောင်းများရရှိနိုင်မည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

ထို့ပြင်အ​ကြောင်း​ကြောင်း​ကြောင့် စာ​စာမေးပွဲစစ်ဆေးမှုမပြုလုပ်နိုင်ခဲ့သော် Approved Centre ၏ Recommendation Letter / Certificate & Transcript တို့ဖြင့် ​ကျောင်းဝင်ခွင့်များ​လျှောက်ထားနိုင်ပါသည်။

အကြံကောင်းပေးရသော် -- ပထမဆုံး Approved Centre ဖြစ်ရမည်၊ ဒုတိယအားဖြင့် ကျောင်းလခ လစဉ်ကြေးလည်း သင့်တင့် သက်သာ၍ တစ်လချင်းစီပေးချေနိုင်သောကျောင်း ဖြစ်ရမည်၊ တတိယကတော့ မိမိသင်ယူလိုသော (တချို့အထူး) ဘာသာရပ်များအား သင်ကြားပေးနေသည့် ကျောင်းဖြစ်ရမည်၊ စတုတ္ထအနေဖြင့်မူ စာသင်/စာစစ် လုံးဝ ကောင်းမွန်စိတ်ချရ၍ ပြင်ပ ကျူရှင် / Guide စသည်များ ထပ်ယူစရာမလို၍ ငွေအပိုကုန် အချိန်အပိုကုန်ခြင်း စသည်တို့ လုံးဝ မရှိစေသော ကျောင်းဖြစ်ရမည် ဟူ၍ အဆင့်ဆင့် သေချာစွာ ရွေးချယ်တက်ရောက်ကြရန် လိုအပ်ပါလိမ့်မည်။

Edexcel ဆိုသည်မှာ iProgress ဟူသောခေါင်းစဉ်ဖြင့် International Grade 1 မှ Grade 11 (IGCSE O Level / IG) နှင့် နိုင်ငံခြား တက္ကသိုလ်ဝင်တန်း GCE A Level ပညာသင်ကြားရေးကို စီစဉ်ပေးနေသည့် အဖွဲ့အစည်းဖြစ်၍ ၎င်းစာမေးပွဲများ၏ သက်ဆိုင်ရာ အောင်လက်မှတ်များကိုမူ နာမည်ကြီး Pearson အဖွဲ့ကြီးမှနေ၍ ချီးမြှင့်ပေးနေခြင်းဖြစ်ပါသည်။ တနည်းဆိုသော Pearson ၏ အဖွဲ့ခွဲ (Subsidiary of Pearson) တစ်ခုဖြစ်ပါသည်။

အသိအမှတ်ပြုခံ အဖွဲ့အစည်းကြီးတစ်ခုပင်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ (မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအတွက် လူသိများ မြင်သာအောင် ဥပမာ ဆောင်ရသော် နာမည်ကြီး Cambridge University စသည်များကဲ့သို့ပင် အသိအမှတ်ပြု လေးစားခံရသူပင်။ နောက်ဥပမာတစ်ခုအရ တကမ္ဘာလုံးအသိအမှတ်ပြုသည့် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင်လည်း လူသိထင်ရှားလှသည့် UK မှစစ်ဆေးသည့် LCCI စာမေးပွဲများသည် Pearson မှ ချီးမြှင့် ကျင်းပပေးခြင်းပင် ဖြစ်ပါသည်။)

IGCSE များဖြစ်ကြသော Cambridge IGCSE နှင့် Edexcel IGCSE တို့သည် equivalent to GCSE များသာလျှင်ဖြစ်ကြသောကြောင့် GCSE နှင့် အမည်သာမတူ ကျန်အခွင့်အရေးအားလုံး လုံးဝ တူညီကြပါသည်။

ထို့ကြောင့် Edexcel IGCSE ခေါ် IG သည် UK နိုင်ငံတွင်းစစ်သည့် GCSE စာမေးပွဲနှင့် အဆင့်တူ၍ အသိအမှတ်ပြုခံရမှုမှာလည်း လုံးဝ တူညီကြပါသည်ဟူ၍ တကမ္ဘာလုံးရှိ နာမည်ကြီး ကောလိပ် တက္ကသိုလ်များက အသိအမှတ်ပြုလက်ခံထားရှိကြပါသည်။ အင်္ဂလန်နိုင်ငံသား GCSE အောင်မြင်ထားသူနှင့် Edexcel IGCSE အောင်မြင်ထားသူ ၂-ဦးတို့၏ ကောလိပ် တက္ကသိုလ် ကျောင်းဝင်ခွင့်လျှောက်လွှာတို့ကို တူညီသော အခွင့်အရေးများအောက်တွင် ထားရှိစဉ်းစား လက်ခံ ရွေးချယ်လျက် ရှိနေကြပါသည်။

ပုံမှန်အားဖြင့်တော့ ဘာသာ ၆-ခု ကိုရွေးချယ်တက်ရောက်ဖြေဆိုသင့်ပေသည်။ အကြမ်းအားဖြင့် Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Human Biology, ICT (Information and Communication Technology), English as Second Language, English as First Language, Accounting, Business Study စသည်တို့ဖြစ်ကြသည်။

မိမိတို့ ဆက်လက်သွားရောက်သင်ကြားလိုသည့် ကောလိပ် တက္ကသိုလ် တို့ကို ကြိုတင် စိတ်ကူးထားပါကလည်း သက်ဆိုင်ရာဘာသာလိုင်းများအလိုက် ၎င်းတို့က ကြိုတင်ပြဋ္ဌာန်းထားသည့် လေ့လာထားရမည့် ဘာသာရပ်များအကြောင်းကို ကြိုတင်လေ့လာသိရှိကာ လိုအပ်သလို ဘာသာရပ် ရွေးချယ်တက်ရောက် သင်ယူသင့်သည်။ တတ်သိသော နားလည်သော ဆရာများနှင့် တိုင်ပင်၍လည်း ရွေးချယ်နိုင်ပါသည်။

အထူးမှတ်သားထားရမှာကတော့ မိမိတို့ရွေးချယ်တက်ရောက်ပြီးသည့် ဘာသာရပ်များကို သေချာစွာ ကြိုးစားသင်ယူကြ၍ စာမေးပွဲတွင် ကောင်းမွန်သော အဆင့်များဖြင့် အောင်မြင်စေရန် ကြိုးစားထားကြဖို့သာဖြစ်သည်။ ဆက်လက်တက်ရောက်ရမည့် ကောလိပ် တက္ကသိုလ် တို့သည် ၎င်းအဆင့်များပေါ်တွင်သာ မူတည်၍ ကျောင်းဝင်ရောက်ခွင့် စသည်ကို ပေးကြမည် ဖြစ်သည်။

စာမေးပွဲဖြေရန်အတွက် စာမေးပွဲကြေးမှာ တစ်ဘာသာလျှင် အကြမ်းအားဖြင့် ၂-သိန်း ဝန်းကျင်ခန့်ကျသင့်မည် ဖြစ်သည်ကိုလည်း ကြိုတင်သိရှိထားကြဖို့ လိုအပ်ပါသည်။ မိဘများ၏ ငွေ (တစ်နည်းတင်စားသော်) မိဘများ၏ မေတ္တာရည်များကို အကျိုးရှိရှိ အသုံးပြုနိုင်ကြရေး အထူးဂရုပြု စေချင်ပါသည်။

ယခင် 2017 မတိုင်ခင်အထိနှင့် ယနေ့ တချို့ Cambridge IGCSE တွေမှာ ဘာသာရပ်များကို Grading အားဖြင့် A* to G ဟူ၍ Grade ဂရိတ် သတ်မှတ် အမှတ်ပေးကြသည်။ တချို့ Cambridge IGCSE ဘာသာရပ်များကို (9-1) Grading ဖြင့် သတ်မှတ် အမှတ်ပေးကြသည်လည်း ရှိနေပါပြီ။

2019 မှစ၍ Edexcel IGCSE / IG ကတော့ ဘာသာရပ်များကို 9 to 1 Grading (9-1) ဖြင့်သာ Grade အဆင့် သတ်မှတ် အမှတ်ပေးပါတော့သည်။ (9-1) Grading System နှင့် A* - G Grading System တို့၏ အဆင့်နှိုင်းယှဉ်ပုံကို အောက်မှ ပုံထဲတွင် ကြည့်ရှုမှတ်သားနိုင်ပါသည်။

Edexcel IGCSE စာမေးပွဲများကို နှစ်စဉ် November / January တွင်လည်းကောင်း၊ May / June တွင်လည်းကောင်း စစ်ဆေးကျင်းပကြလေ့ ရှိပါသည်။ (ယခုနှစ် 2021 Nov တွင် Edexcel IGCSE Exam ရှိပါသည်။)

IGCSE ဆိုတာသည် အကြမ်းအားဖြင့် ၁၀-တန်း ပညာရေးပါပဲ၊ နိုင်ငံတကာ အသိအမှတ်ပြု ၁၀-တန်း ပညာရေးလို့ ဆိုခဲ့သလိုပါပဲ။ ၁၀-တန်းဖြေဖို့ ၉-တန်းနှင့် ၁၀-တန်း ပေါင်း ၂-နှစ်စာလေ့လာမှသာလျှင် ၁၀-တန်းစာမေးပွဲကို အောင်မြင်စွာဖြေဆိုနိုင်ကြမှာဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ထို့အတူပင် IGCSE (GCE O Level ) စာမေးပွဲကို အဆင့်မြင့်မြင့် ဖြေဆိုအောင်မြင်နိုင်ကြရန်လည်း စာသင်နှစ် ၂-နှစ်ခန့် သေချာကြိုးစား တက်ရောက်သင်ကြားကာ ကြိုတင်ပြင်ဆင်ပြီးမှသာလျှင် ဝင်ရောက်ဖြေဆိုသင့်ကြသည်ဟု အကြံပြုလိုပါသည်။

IGCSEs are accredited by either Cambridge (Cambridge International Examinations (CIE)) or Edexcel (Pearson Edexcel) exam boards.

For Year 10 & 11 – Cambridge IGCSE (15 – 16 years of age)

GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) is taken by most high school students in the UK at the end of their 11 years of compulsory education, here equivalent to 10th standard education.

The GCSE is predominantly taught at schools in the UK, but is also offered at institutions in some other countries such as Australia, Canada and India.

As they are both respected bodies with equal value for their qualification in the UK, both IGCSE and International GCSE are also equal value and equally accepted as a highly-respected official high school qualification.

Both also are equivalent to GCSE (for local UK students) and act as the gateway to further academic study in the UK and everywhere in the world.

Therefore, it is confirmed that there is no any distinction between IGCSEs / IGs and GCSEs when considering students for accepting into Undergraduate programmes around the world.

Yes – International GCSEs are the most well-known and highly regarded pre-A-level qualification for students in the UK and also can directly join to most of the well-known Diploma Degree Collages such as Polytechnics from Singapore, etc.

We are an approved exam centre of Edexcel Internation GCSE. At WEC, we use Edexcel for IGCSE / IG and our IGCSE programme includes Maths, English, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Human Biology and ICT, etc. So, students can take those subjects from us and our subsidiary teaching centres well.

Most schools require students to take a minimum of 5 or 6 IGCSE subjects which must include the 3 compulsory subjects of English, Maths and Science. Alongside these “core” subjects, students can choose from a number of different subjects in areas. Your IGCSE subject choices should take into account your own interests, your future study and career plans, the subjects you have studied and done well in so far, and of course which IGCSE subjects your school offers. If you already know which degree subjects or universities you are interested in, you should check whether they specify any particular IGCSE subject grades in their prerequisites. It is important to remember that top-ranking universities will consider the quality of the IGCSEs that you have taken rather than the quantity. Taking a smaller number of IGCSEs will not inhibit your chances of a successful application, as long as you achieve strong grades in the subjects that you take.

IGCSE results were traditionally graded from A* - G, however, from June 2017, schools in England began introducing a 9-1 grading system for IGCSEs.

Cambridge – the A* - G system is still in place for the majority of students and countries, however the new 9-1 system is available on an optional basis for schools in certain regions.

Pearson Edexcel – all International GCSEs are now awarded using the new 9-1 system.

IGCSE exams are available in November and January (for certain subjects) and also in May – June each year.
